So what is Empower Athlete, exactly?
A community for high school athletes making the jump to college. Most athletes come in wanting one thing: to get recruited. So we built recruiting guidance right into the community: tips every Tuesday, a School of the Week every Thursday, the Recruiting Playbook, and college athletes you can ask. Plus posts that make you say "me too," and Rooted if you want it.
Is this a recruiting service?
No. Recruiting is in here: weekly tips, featured schools, the Recruiting Playbook, and a place to ask your questions. But we don't promise offers, scholarships, or playing time. We start with the person, because that's the part that lasts.
Who is this for?
Any athlete who wants to grow, connect, and learn from people who've been there. It's built around the jump from high school to college, so that's where a lot of our members are, but the conversations aren't only for young athletes. Boys and girls, any sport, any level. You don't have to have it figured out to join.
Who are the athletes inside?
Athletes who play or played in college. A year or two ago they were exactly where you are. They're not coaches and they're not influencers. Meet them here.
Can I actually talk to them?
Yes. The athletes stay in the comments under their posts, and you can message them directly inside the community. They aren't on call around the clock. Jonathan and Ava cover the questions they don't get to.
Is it faith-based? Do I have to be religious?
Faith is part of it. Every Sunday, Rooted shares a verse, a short reflection, and a reminder that you're held by more than your last game. Whatever you believe, there's room here. Take what you need, leave what you don't.
What does it cost?
One membership, three ways to pay: $8.99 a month, $89.99 a year, or $179.99 once for lifetime access. Monthly and yearly plans cancel anytime, and founders keep their price for as long as they stay. Lifetime is a founders offer: pay once and keep everything we add as the community grows. No application, no upsells.
Why isn't it free?
The college athletes are paid for their time to make videos and answer members. Membership also keeps the community free of ads, and nobody sells your info.
Is there an app?
Yes. The community runs on Circle, so you can use it on the web or in the iOS and Android app.
How much time does it take?
As much or as little as you want. Nobody's taking attendance. Jump in at any point. Every month is a fresh start.
Who can see what I post and message?
Posts and comments are visible to other members of the community. Direct messages are private between you and the person you're messaging. Our team can't read them. You can block anyone, turn off direct messages in your privacy settings, or report anything that feels off.
Is this counseling or therapy?
No. Empower Athlete is a community, not therapy. If you're going through something heavy, please talk to a trusted adult or a professional. In the US, you can call or text 988 any time, day or night.
How do I cancel?
Anytime, from your account settings in Circle.
