You got them this far.
This is the part of the road you can't walk for them. Here's what your athlete gets, how it works, and what it costs.
What your athlete gets.
Everything they need for the jump to college, from recruiting to the hard days in between.
Straight talk on recruiting
Weekly tips, featured schools, and the Recruiting Playbook, a step-by-step guide your athlete can work through without paying for a recruiting service.
Athletes who've been there
Athletes who play or played in college share what nobody told them, stay in the comments under their posts, and can be messaged directly.
A community monthly theme
Weekly mindset work on the hard moments: pressure, identity, setbacks. Plus Rooted every Sunday, a short faith-based reflection. Whatever your family believes, there's room here.
What it is
- A private online community on Circle, on the web and in the iOS and Android app
- A place to work toward knowing who they are, handling hard moments, and knowing who to ask
- Free of ads and upsells. Nobody sells member info.
What it isn't
- A recruiting service. We don't promise offers, scholarships, or playing time.
- Coaching. The athletes share what they've lived, not a training plan.
- Counseling or therapy. If your athlete is struggling, please reach out to a professional. In the US you can call or text 988 any time.
Who's talking to my kid?
It's the right question to ask. Here's how it works.
Messaging is on, because real conversations are the point. We'd rather tell you exactly how it works than bury it in fine print.
- The athletes are vetted. Every athlete in here was chosen on purpose, and we take our time with each one.
- Most conversations happen in the open. Athletes answer in the comments under their posts, where the whole community and our team can see them.
- Direct messages are private. Members can message each other one-on-one. Those messages are only visible to the two people in the conversation. Our team can't read them.
- Members are in control. Anyone can block another member, turn off direct messages in their privacy settings, or report a post or comment that feels off.
Like any app your athlete uses, it's worth a conversation at home about who they're talking to. If anything ever concerns you, reach out to Jonathan directly at jd@empowherathletes.com.
I built the place I wanted for my own kids.
I'm a dad. I watched my own kids go through recruiting, the pressure, the bad days, and the "who am I if this doesn't work out" days. I knew they wouldn't talk to me about the hard stuff. That's kind of the job.
What they needed was somebody a few steps ahead saying, "I've been there. Here's what I'd do. You're gonna be okay." So I built that.
